‌"The artist converts the surface of everyday lives where people desire, possess, and reveal these signs to images, which then become objects, decorations, windows, landscapes, or images themselves. The images of the interior indicate ‘a picturesque scene’, ‘a luxurious house’, or ‘expensive items,’ excluding its own functions. They also mean ceaseless responses to all those desires of decorating and hiding; showing off comfortable lives, concealing financial problems, or hiding poor construction. Lee’s work shows a layer of accumulated answers to self-questioned appearance of lives, which is about the comprehension of the way we exist on the surface of daily lives, not about criticism to Habitus. 

 Lee constructs her work into a solid figure by assembling and arranging planes. The solid figure, however, is not a specific object that has functions or realness. Lee’s work connects the solids with the planes like a hinge that is placed in between. This results in vague, unnamable works which have escaped from traditional classification of genres. In other words, Lee’s work is always mixed with surfaces reflecting a daily object and spaces surrounding it from every direction."
